There was a flashbulb moment at Heathrow Airport on Monday afternoon, as England’s U17 World Cup winners arrived home.
Steve Cooper’s squad, who lifted the trophy in Kolkata on Saturday evening after a 5-2 win over Spain, touched down in London following an early-morning flight to be met by their friends and families.
And after enjoying no shortage of attention in India over the last few weeks after delighting the crowds with their performances, their new-found fame extended to their homeland with TV crews and cameras awaiting their arrival.
