The 64 lucky gamers who have been randomly selected to take part in the return of the official Emirates FA Cup gaming tournament, ‘Every Gamer’s Adventure’, have been announced.
Each gamer will represent a team from this year’s third round onwards and compete for glory and a chance to lift the Emirates FA Cup trophy at Wembley Stadium.
The event, which debuted last year, generated an even higher level of interest for the 2016-17 season, from both gamers and football fans alike, with over 12,000 competition entries.
And now gamers of varying abilities will head to Wembley, as the home of football transforms into an epic gaming colosseum on Sunday 7 May.
Early rounds will be played in iconic locations inside the stadium, such as the changing rooms and players' tunnel, with the two eventual finalists set to play the virtual final using Wembley's 82 foot screens as they sit in the centre circle of the pitch.
Matches played and the event experience itself within Wembley Stadium will be shared via a livestream content throughout the day on the FATV YouTube channel, allowing the e-sports community a behind-the-scenes perspective.
The FA gaming event will again be compered by sports presenters Colin Murray and Rachel Stringer, who will be hosting the draw of each round throughout the course of the day as the tournament progresses.
Murray and Stringer will also be joined on the day by YouTube stars and FIFA gaming fanatics – Tobiias, Theo Baker and ReevHD – offering our competing gamers the opportunity to test their skills against the pros.
The overall winner will not only secure the prestige of being named champion of ‘Every Gamer’s Adventure’ but will also bag themselves four tickets to The Emirates FA Cup Final on Saturday 27 May.
