England will face Tunisia, Panama and Belgium in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The Three Lions were pulled out in Group G during Friday afternoon’s draw in Moscow and now know how the first steps of their World Cup journey will look.
Their campaign will begin on Monday 18 June, when they play Tunisia in Volgograd on what will be the fifth day of the tournament.
There’s a six-day wait until the second game, when World Cup debutants Panama are the opponents in Nizhny Novgorod.
The final group game, with relatively familiar opposition in the shape of Euro rivals Belgium, takes place on Thursday 28 June in Kaliningrad.
The draw was made at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow, with the 32 nations split into eight different groups from the four different pots, based on FIFA’s world rankings.
With former England striker Gary Lineker co-presenting the draw, nations were drawn out in order of pots and placed in the relevant group by a variety of legends representing each of the eight countries to have won the World Cup. Their position in each group was then drawn out separately.
The World Cup kicks-off on Thursday 14 June when hosts Russia play Saudi Arabia at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, with the groups kicking-off in alphabetical order after that.
