Alessia Russo strikes again as Young Lionesses beat Brazil in Florida

Monday 11 Dec 2017
Alessia Russo has scored two goals at the Nike International Tournament

Alessia Russo’s goal clinched victory for England over Brazil in a keenly fought second contest at the Nike International Tournament in Florida.

England had been on the back foot in the first half with Sandy McIver keeping out a fierce effort from Kerolin before Victoria went close for the South American side.

McIver was in good form and would frustrate the Brazilians throughout the match.

Russo showed real composure to steady herself before firing beyond Kemelli in the Brazil goal.
