Goals from Niamh Charles and Ellie Brazil saw England Women Under-19s begin the first of their double header against Norway with a 2-0 win.
Liverpool’s Charles opened the scoring midway through the first half, but was replaced soon afterwards by Brighton-bound Alessia Russo.
With England in control at St. George’s Park Mo Marley rang the changes in the second half.
But that did not disrupt England’s rhythm and Brazil of Birmingham City made the win certain 10 minutes from time.
The young Lionesses will meet Norway again at St. George’s Park on Saturday, kick-off 3pm, as preparations for the forthcoming European Championship elite qualifying campaign intensify.
