Southall moved a step closer to Wembley after beating Exmouth Town 4-2 to reach the quarter-finals of the Buildbase FA Vase.
Goalless at half-time, the game burst into life after the break with Wayne Harvey finding the net for Southall after 51 minutes.
And just six minutes later it was two as Liam Hind saw his 35-yard dipping effort fly straight in.
Exmouth were thrown a lifeline on the hour mark though when Luke Durham was fouled in the box and Nathan Cooper stepped up to dispatch the penalty.
But Southall replied swiftly with a deflected effort which crept inside the near post to restore their two-goal lead.
Exmouth refused to give in however and set up a lively finish with a second penalty of the game on 88 minutes – Cooper converting his second spot-kick of the afternoon after Durham was fouled again.
The drama continued with Southall’s Anthony Page receiving his marching orders for a second yellow before team-mate Harvey capitalised on Exmouth pushing forward for an equaliser with his second of the game to finally cement his side’s place in the next round.
