Four aspirational young coaches are set to embark on an exciting new chapter in their coaching journeys after this week being confirmed as The FA’s newest Elite Coach Mentees.
Sarah Lowden, Katie Quinlan, Ryan Semple, and Rajab Noor will spend the next 12 months navigating their way through a bespoke programme of England youth team camps, County FA initiatives, supporting both the youth and national coach developer teams, as well as attending UEFA study visits and LMA Masterclass events.
Their programmes have been carefully constructed to allow for a year’s worth of meaningful work experience across a broad range of opportunities, equipping them with new skills and qualities to support the next moves on their journeys.
The FA’s coach inclusion and diversity manager Wayne Allison said: “All four have shown qualities throughout the selection process that we believe will help them make the most of this opportunity, and I believe by the end of it all four will be in a fantastic position to progress in their careers.
“When we set up The FA BAME Elite Coach Menteeship programme, our aim was to provide exciting, young coaches who have aspirations of coaching in elite football environments with meaningful work experience.
“And, as we saw last month when our first ever participants became our first ever graduates, this programme can develop young coaches by giving them unique experiences and opportunities within which they can thrive and progress.”
