Everton Ladies were crowned FA Women's Super League 2 Spring Series champions in May
The FA Women’s Football Board has today confirmed that Everton Ladies FC have been successful in their application to take the vacant FA WSL 1 slot for the 2017/18 season, following the recent liquidation of Notts County Ladies.
One other club applied, which was Doncaster Rovers Belles. They have the right to appeal the decision, within seven days.
The teams playing in the FA WSL1 for the 2017/18 season will be ratified at the AGM on Wednesday 28 June.
