The curtain comes down on the 2016/17 futsal season this weekend when The University of Wolverhampton plays host to the FA Futsal Cup finals.
The men’s competition begins on Saturday with two intriguing semi-finals as Super League teams are pitted against second tier opponents.
Manchester, who finished second in the FA Futsal National Super League North, kick off the action against South Division 2 side Sussex, who won 13 of their 14 league matches and knocked out Futsal Cup holders Oxford City en route to the final four.
In the second semi-final, London Baku United, runners-up in the Super League Grand Final against Helvecia, take on Loughborough Futsal Academy who finished sixth in North Division 2, but have enjoyed a strong cup campaign – a 7-6 victory over Genesis the highlight.
The women’s competition sees South London Ladies take on Bath, while Grand Final winners Preston Newall meet Tyneside.
Tickets for both Saturday and Sunday are priced £3 and are available to buy on the door.
