Head coach Keith Downing has finalised his 18-man squad for next month’s European Under-19 Championship in Georgia.
The squad features six players from Chelsea, including defender Reece James who has the chance to extend a golden summer for England, having been part of the squad that won the Toulon Tournament earlier this month.
The Young Lions, twice U19 Euro runners-up, kick-off their Group B campaign against Bulgaria on Monday 3 July in Tblisi.
Then Downing’s youngsters meet the Netherlands – who boasted the meanest defence in qualifying, conceding just one goal in six matches – on Thursday 6 July.
The group stage concludes against Germany, the only former winners that will appear in Georgia, on Sunday 9 July.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-final stage.
