England Under-21s put in their final preparations on the training ground for Tuesday’s Euro semi-final with Germany.
Aidy Boothroyd’s squad were on the grass at their latest training base in Zabierzów, just outside Krakow on Monday morning, after a similar session the previous day having only found out they would be facing Germany late on Saturday evening.
And the group will now be hoping their preparations will give them a chance of beating Stefan Kuntz’s team when they meet in Tychy early on Tuesday evening.
The Young Lions squad trained separately to both Nathaniel Chalobah and Nathan Redmond, with the experienced pair undergoing treatment after picking up injuries in the win over Poland last Thursday.
England are already relatively familiar with Tuesday’s opponents, having played Germany in Wiesbaden in March as both squads prepared for their summer trip to Poland.
Germany could claim bragging rights on that occasion, as a first-half goal from Nadiem Amiri sealed a 1-0 victory for the hosts.
But with a place in Friday’s final in Krakow now at stake, both nations won’t be dwelling too much on that encounter.
The game will be shown live in the UK on Sky Sports 1, kicking-off at 5pm BST.
