Ike Ugbo scored a hat-trick as defending champions Chelsea moved through to the FA Youth Cup final with a convincing 7-1 second-leg victory against Tottenham Hotspur in their semi-final clash.
Jody Morris’s side, who conceded a late goal in the first leg to set up a tantalising match at Stamford Bridge, were outstanding from the start – scoring three times in the first half to put the tie to bed.
Ugbo grabbed a brace, while Trevoh Chalobah’s close-range finish ensured the home side grabbed the initiative from the off.
Blues keeper Jared Thompson played his part with a penalty save to deny Spurs' Kaziah Sterling, as the visitors continued to fight for a way back into the game.
But in the second period, Chelsea went up another gear once more as Dujon Sterling, Callum Hudson-Odoi and another from Ugbo put the game to bed.
Spurs can take heart from the way they battled and Jack Roles grabbed a late consolation by rounding the keeper and slotting in.
There was another blow for them though, as Juan Castillo added a seventh for Chelsea to complete an aggregate scoreline of 9-2 in the Blues' favour and send them into a sixth successive Youth Cup Final.
Chelsea will now face Manchester City in the Final for a third year running as they go in search of a fourth straight title.
