A debut goal for England Under-18s striker Edward Nketiah sealed a 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia on Wednesday evening.
The Young Lions are in Qatar for three games at the impressive Aspire facility this week and Neil Dewsnip’s team got the trip off to a memorable start.
A first-half goal from captain and Everton defender Morgan Feeney after just five minutes saw England take a single goal lead into the break.
And Arsenal’s Nketiah doubled the advantage in the 57th minute to put England in control and seal the victory.
Dewsnip’s side will be back in action on Friday evening, when they face host nation Qatar at the same venue.
