A hat-trick from Sam Bell ensured Chipstead’s Emirates FA Cup campaign continues with a 4-0 victory at home to Littlehampton Town in their First Round Qualifying replay.
Having drawn 2-2 at the weekend, Bostik South side Chipstead took an early lead as Bell notched his first in the seventh minute, before Chris O’Flaherty drove into the box to finish well and double his side’s advantage.
The hosts were three ahead before the half hour mark, Bell tapping home for his second to ensure Chipstead held a comfortable lead at the break.
Littlehampton were able to keep their opponents’ scoring at bay for much of the second half, but Bell completed his hat-trick to book his side’s berth in the Second Qualifying Round.
There they will face AFC Sudbury, who held off a Mildenhall Town comeback effort to win 4-2 away from home.
Goals from Dave Cowley and Tevan Allen had put the Yellows comfortably ahead within 16 minutes, before Danny Crow pulled one back for the hosts.
Adam Mills found the back of the net after half-time to restore Sudbury’s two-goal advantage, before Shaun Avis scored for Mildenhall, but it wasn’t long until Mills hit his second of the game to seal the win for his side.
Tunbridge Wells scored three goals in extra-time against Haywards Heath Town to set up a visit to Concord Rangers.
With the scores locked at 0-0 at the end of normal time, Tunbridge found their scoring boots as Keelan Mooney, Bayley Colbran and Steven Ikpeme netted within 20 minutes.
Alfie Paxman was Ramsgate’s hat-trick hero as they also ran out 4-2 winners away to Egham Town, to book a clash with Chelmsford City in the next round.
Egham had opened the scoring in just the second minute through Louis Stead, but despite a late consolation from Mitchell Wiseman, they could do little to stop Paxman’s triple plus a header from Ollie Gray.
In the night’s early kick-off, Sam Argent’s goal from the penalty spot was all that was needed for Hartley Wintney to defeat Basingstoke Town.
There were slender victories too for Altrincham and Harlow Town, who both recorded 2-1 wins over Abbey Hey and Thurrock respectively, while Biggleswade edged out North Leigh to progress.
