England made it two wins from two games in the CP World Championship on Wednesday afternoon with a 9-0 victory over Venezuela.
After an eye-catching 11-0 scoreline in their opening game with Japan on Monday, Andy Smith’s side were in good goalscoring form again in San Luis.
Dominating the game from the start, it took just four minutes for George Fletcher to score the first of his three goals against their South American opponents.
An own goal then doubled the Three Lions’ advantage before Dave Porcher found a third and a penalty from Michael Barker ensured a 4-0 lead at half time.
The second half was less than ten minutes old when a quickfire double from Fletcher completed his treble.
Lewis Tribe then added two more to the tally and Matt Crossen grabbed a ninth to ensure an even more comfortable scoreline for England.
The Three Lions sit on top of their group and have already secured their quarter final spot, before they face the Netherlands in the group decider on Friday and after the Dutch beat Japan 4-0, they know they must beat England to win the group.
Jeff Davis, elite development manager, said: “It was another very polished performance which has boosted our credentials as one of the challenging nations. We will look to recover and try to win the group, but we are delighted to have made the quarter finals.”
Friday's game kicks-off in San Luis at 4pm BST.
