The draw for the Emirates FA Cup third round qualifying took place at Wembley Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Following the weekend’s ties in the second round qualifying, which featured 16 draws and one postponed game, there were 97 clubs still involved in the draw.
And they now know who they will or could be facing later in September as they compete for a place in the fourth round qualifying, when clubs from the National League enter the fray.
One tie which immediately catches is the eye is the pairing of two clubs who have recent history of winning at Wembley, as last season’s Buildbase FA Vase winners South Shields have been paired with the 2017 Buildbase FA Trophy winners York City.
Third round qualifying ties will be played across the weekend of Saturday 30 September 2017, with winning clubs receiving £7000 from The FA’s prize fund.
This week’s replays start on Monday evening when Cambridge City host St. Albans City, before the majority of the remaining second round qualifying ties take place on Tuesday evening.
Following the postponement of the south-west derby between Bodmin Town and Bideford due to a water-logged pitch at Priory Park, they will meet on Wednesday evening with the winners facing a trip to face Haringey Borough in the next round.
