England U19s will take part in a preparation camp for this summer’s U19 Euro Finals next month.
Young Lions boss Paul Simpson will take a 24-man group to Spain for five days of training ahead of their trip to Finland for the tournament in July.
The U19s secured their place in the Finals and a chance to defend the title they won last year, after topping their Elite Round group in Macedonia last month.
Last year’s U19s squad made a similar trip to La Manga under Keith Downing to prepare for the 2017 Finals in Georgia, which they went on to win.
A number of the squad from last season are still young enough to be involved again this term to have a crack at retaining their title.
And the majority of the group who featured in March’s qualifiers will be involved again between 20-25 May in La Manga.
“This camp will be a great opportunity ahead of this summer’s Euros to work with the players and focus on us as a team,” said Simpson.
“We will use the time to concentrate on how we want to play and really develop that.
“Once the draw for the Euros takes place at the end of May, we can work on fine tuning and start looking at our opposition.”
The draw for the 2018 U19 Euro Finals will take place in Finland on Wednesday 30 May with the eight Finalists being drawn into two groups of four.
