England's CP squad have been in action at the European Championships in Zeist this week

England went into the game only needing a draw, so it was Ukraine who needed to take the game to England, which they did.

They pressed from the very start but Ukraine scored in the second minute. England then had to stand firm and try to get back into it.

And they had a very good go at this, they had chances but were struggling to produce the final ball. Ukraine were awarded a penalty, which was saved by Moore to keep England in it. It was an evenly matched first half with both teams having plenty of possession.

England kicked-off the second half looking for a response, but the majority of the second half followed the same pattern as the first as England continued to give their all and had several chances but it just wasn’t enough on the day.

A goal in the 56th minute sealed a semi-final spot for Ukraine who came out on top, with a 2-0 win.

The England side have had some good results so far in the tournament with an outstanding 10-0 result against Finland and a 9-1 stunner against Spain. They now bow out at the group stages to a very good Ukraine side.

Key players throughout have included Harry Baker, who scored three goals in the tournament, and also the captain Matt Crossen, who scored a hat trick.

England still have a fifth place play-off to contend, with the opponent still to be decided.
