“AFC Fylde and Colchester United will provide us with excellent stadiums to host these games and hopefully we can get an enthusiastic atmosphere for the players as they continue their international development.

“Our long-term aim for this group of players is for them to progress to the Under-21s and senior teams, and that is the challenge for the season for all of the players we will be selecting.”

AFC Fylde chairman David Haythornthwaite said: “Everyone at the club is very excited about this tremendous opportunity to showcase our facilities. This would have been unthinkable five years ago and shows how far we as a club have come.

“I am extremely proud that The FA has chosen us to host this game and can assure everyone concerned we will do everything in our power to ensure a successful  game both off and on the pitch.

Tim Waddington, general manager at Colchester United, said: “We are delighted to once again be welcoming The FA and an England side to our home venue in Colchester.

“In little over ten years, we’ve been honoured to have an international fixture on seven occasions and we look forward once again to welcoming the best of this country’s young footballing talent.

“These games are a fantastic opportunity to show what we offer at Colchester United, and we look forward to having another big crowd for the match in November.”
