Sian Massey-Ellis and Lisa Rashid will be among the 48 assistant referees at next summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The English duo have experience of officiating at the biggest competitions in the women’s game with Rashid taking charge of the UEFA Women’s Euro U19 final in 2016.
Premier League and EFL assistant referee Massey-Ellis, who was awarded an MBE for services to football, was a key member of the refereeing team at UEFA Women's Euro 2017 and was an assistant referee at the UEFA Women’s Champions League final in 2018.
“The selection of Lisa and Sian as assistant referees to the FIFA Women’s World Cup is an outstanding achievement by two of our very best female officials,” said David Elleray, chairman of the FA referees' committee.
“Much work lies ahead for Lisa and Sian in preparing for June but the referees' committee has every confidence they will both continue to work exceptionally hard so that they are ready for the most important event in women’s football.
“We very warmly congratulate them on their selection and we are sure that everyone at The FA and in the wider football family will join us in these congratulations.”
The tournament will take place in France from 7 June until 7 July 2019.
Phil Neville’s England qualified unbeaten for their fourth consecutive appearance at the World Cup.
The draw will take place in Paris on Saturday 8 December.
