I feel shattered! I’m on my bunk writing this and it's 11.30am in Moscow.
The Colombians are still in bed. I think they are more shattered than me.
Some already have their suitcases packed. They are a friendly bunch. Those who were up when I got back congratulated me, although they were gutted. (Now they know how we often feel!).
On the Metro after the game, I had to console one of their fans who was crying. He was a grown man too!
Now I can honestly say I have never cried when England have lost, even though I have felt like it many times and got a bit damp around the eyes. I have gone next door and kicked their cat, not having one ourselves. No, I'm only joking!
It wasn't all pretty football from England and we faded in the second half but I was prepared to win ugly.
Then came their 93rd minute goal and we were silenced. I know what everyone was thinking: were the old ghosts coming back to haunt us? The Colombians got noisier. They seemed to be everywhere.
We were just a hard-core of 3000 or 4000 fans, but had sung above our weight all night. But our team had put us on the torture rack again, just when everything seemed to be going to plan and we were preparing to be emotionally crushed again. Things seemed to be falling apart.
Then the dreaded penalty shoot-out and we groaned. Henderson's miss and our heads were in our hands. We were going out and the old ghosts had come back to haunt us.
But then came their two misses and Eric Dier coolly slotted home the winner. We erupted.
The old ghosts had been truly banished. We were still celebrating an hour after full time. Some fans are probably still behind the goal celebrating even now.
I have teamed up with Lee, from our hostel and all the way back across the city on the Metro we talked like over-excited schoolboys.
We were on Cloud Nine. We both agreed a dozen times this is England's year! This is England's World Cup!
In other news, I've lost my small rucksack. It had my England flag in it. We stopped at a bar and I think I've left it there. I'll check this morning. I sneaked the flag past the stewards last night, but there was no room to display it.
