In any walk of life people work hard to reach the top of their profession and we’re no different as footballers.
We want to maximise our potential and reach the top – and the top for us is to play for your country.
And to represent your country at a major tournament is the absolute pinnacle. It’s what you strive for when you start playing football.
If I didn’t play football I’d still be an England fan so I know how big a deal it is.
It’s a huge honour and something that we should all be really proud of.
