Eddie Nketiah is hoping England’s momentum can propel them to a third successive title at the Maurice Revello Tournament.
The Arsenal forward scored twice and provided an assist in Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Scotland in the semi-final.
And the Young Lions will now meet Mexico in Saturday’s final, having previously played out a draw with the Central Americans last week.
“Mexico are a good side, very technically good,” said Nketiah, who also scored against Qatar in England’s final group game.
“But we have a good team as well so I think it’ll be a great game and we know what to expect of them so we’ll prepare well and be ready for the final.
“We have just as good, if not better, technical players in our team and we know what we’re capable of, we just need to deliver on the day.
“We’ve got this far and we’re just determined and focused to finish off the job and get a bit of success at the end."
It’s the 19-year-old’s first trip with Aidy Boothroyd’s squad, having previously been a regular with the U19s this season.
And as the youngest member of the squad in Toulon, he’s enjoyed his summer spell with the U21s in southern France.
“It’s my first games with the U21s and it’s an honour to be called up to this level,” added the south Londoner, who was on Chelsea’s books as a youngster before switching to Arsenal.
“I just want to keep improving and keep helping the team.
“As we’ve trained and got to play with each other more and more, they know how I play and I know how the team plays.
“I feel in each game I’m improving and I just want to finish it off with a strong performance in the final.”
