Ruben Loftus-Cheek admits seeing the reaction from England fans at home can help inspire the Three Lions in Russia.
The Chelsea midfielder appeared on the Lions’ Den show on Tuesday afternoon, after playing his part in the victory over Tunisia the previous evening.
And with videos of supporters across England celebrating Harry Kane’s late winner surfacing on social media ever since, Loftus-Cheek admits it gives the players a real boost at their base camp in Repino.
"We're in this little bubble with our own vision and we're focused, so we don't always see what's going on the outside like that,” admitted Loftus-Cheek, after watching a collection of celebration videos on the show.
"That was mental, beers flying up in the air, like a festival. Everyone forgets who they support and just comes together.”
The 22-year-old made an impact on Monday’s game following his second-half introduction from the bench with the game locked at 1-1.
Along with fellow sub Marcus Rashford, he added impetus to the Three Lions’ performances and admits he was delighted to see Kane on the end of a late chance to win it.
"I was at the near post and just looked back and saw Harry there and thought, 'thank God it's Harry!'” he laughed.
"It felt good [to play]. When you're playing you don't think about it, but afterwards, you think I've just played at a World Cup. It's crazy.”
