A brace from Christian Eriksen and an Erik Lamela strike gave Tottenham Hotspur a comfortable victory over Swansea as Mauricio Pochettino’s men eased in into the semi-finals of the Emirates FA Cup.
An incisive Tottenham dominated from start to finish and were ahead after just 11 minutes at the Liberty Stadium, Eriksen curling home a trademark effort from outside the box with his left foot.
Son Heung-min then had an second chalked off for offside, after referral to the video assistant referee (VAR), while the impressive Eriksen also struck the bar as the visitors pushed to extend their advantage.
And they got their reward moments before the half-time whistle, with Lamela placing a right-footed effort into the corner after creating space on the edge of the box.
The hosts rallied after the break and visiting keeper Michel Vorm had to be at his best against his former side to keep out efforts from Martin Olsson and Tammy Abraham.
At the other end, Kristoffer Nordtvelt tipped Eric Dier’s fierce drive over the bar as the match opened up.
But it was Pochettino’s men who delivered the killer blow on 63 minutes, Danish international Eriksen firing home once more after being picked out by Lucas Moura.
Substitute Fernando Llorente nearly added insult to injury against his former club, but the Spaniard could not connect with Son’s centre seconds after coming on ten minutes from time and the match ended 3-0.
