England U18s made a winning start to their week with a 4-0 victory over Qatar at St. George’s Park on Wednesday evening.
A first-half brace from Middlesbrough’s Stephen Walker put the Young Lions in control at the break.
And a strike from substitute Ian Poveda-Ocampo of Manchester City in the 73rd minute was followed up by a Qatari own goal to complete the scoring.
It was the first of three games for Neil Dewsnip’s squad, who have been at the national football centre since Sunday and face Argentina in their next game on Friday, before rounding off with a game against Belarus on Monday 26 March.
