John Griffiths's side opened with a 2-2 draw against Poland

Poland’s Paulina Tomasiak scored in added time to deny England an opening-day win at the UEFA Women’s U17 Championship finals.

Paulina Filipczak put Poland in front eight minutes into the second half, but Jess Park levelled just before the hour mark with a wonderful effort from range.

Park then turned provider, setting up Paris McKenzie to nudge the Young Lionesses ahead.

But Tomasiak had the last say in the second minute of added time.

England’s second group match is against Spain on Saturday 12 May.
