England Under-18s opened their Panda Cup campaign with a 2-2 draw with Uruguay.

Thiago Vecino put the South Americans ahead on the quarter-hour mark, but Crystal Palace’s Nya Kirby levelled from the penalty spot on 63 after Danny Loader was felled inside the box.

Manchester City’s Felix Nmecha nudged the Young Lions in front before Nicolas Schiappacasse earned his side an opening-day draw in China.
