England U18s face a four nation tournament in Spain this month as they look to build on a bright start to the campaign.
Neil Dewsnip’s squad will head to Murcia for three games, kicking-off on Thursday 15 November against the Netherlands at the Pinatar Arena.
The Young Lions will then take on Republic of Ireland two days later before they round off their fixtures against Belgium on Monday 19 November.
Dewsnip has named a 21-man squad for the trip, with three new faces in the shape of Leicester City defender Luke Thomas and Rochdale midfielder Daniel Adshead, who are both involved in an England squad for the first time.
There’s also a spot for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paris Maghoma and Derby County winger Morgan Whittaker, who haven't featured for the Young Lions so far this season.
"All three teams we’ll be facing at the tournament were prominent in the recent U17s Euros, so we’re expecting some very competitive games," said Dewsnip.
"We have a few injuries at the moment, which has meant that we’ve been able to call up Daniel Adshead and Luke Thomas for the first time. It’s a great chance for them to show what they can do, hopefully perform well and start their junior international careers
"The season has gone really well for us so far – we’ve won four out of five and played well in each game. We’ve scored quite a lot of goals but we think we can still be a little more clinical in the opposition area, so we’ll be looking to get even more out of our attacking play in these matches."
Last month saw the U18s enjoy two games at St. George’s Park, starting with a 4-0 victory over Sweden and then a 2-2 draw with Czech Republic which ended in a penalty shootout win for the Young Lions.
Prior to that, Dewsnip’s side won three out of three against the Dutch, Russia and France in Limoges to win a mini-tournament in western France.
