England U20s face Germany in Colchester this month and head coach Paul Simpson has selected his squad for the game.
The Young Lions only have one fixture left this year as they bring 2018 to a close at the Jobserve Community Stadium on Monday 19 November (Kick-off at 7pm) in front of what is expected to be a sell-out crowd in Essex.
Simpson has named a 21-man squad for the game on the back of last month’s games with Italy and Czech Republic which yielded a 2-1 win and 1-1 draw respectively.
And there’s a first England call-up at any level for West Ham United forward Grady Diangana, who has impressed for the Hammers after breaking into their first-team squad in recent weeks.
"This is a game that we’re really looking forward to," said Simpson.
"England v Germany always has a real sense of occasion to it, we know it’ll be a competitive game in front of a full stadium, which will be a great experience for the players.
“As we’re only playing one match, we’ve selected a slightly smaller squad this time.
"It’s very similar to our last couple of camps, because the players have done well when they’ve been with us.
"We’re also lucky to have some good players on the fringes looking at getting into the squad for our next fixtures in March, so there’s real competition in this group."
The squad will report to St. George’s Park next week to begin their preparations for the game before heading south ahead of the match.
And Simpson’s staff will also welcome Ipswich Town academy coach Titus Bramble, as he’s set to shadow the coaching staff following on from his colleague Kieron Dyer’s experience last month.
There are still a limited number of tickets remaining for the game, which cost £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
