England U19s will get the chance to make their final preparations for November’s Euro Qualifiers, with games against Portugal and Macedonia this month.
Keith Downing’s Young Lions face the Portuguese in Almada on Thursday 11 October, before returning back to base for a match with Macedonia at St. George’s Park* on Tuesday 16 October.
And the head coach has picked a 23-man squad for the double-header as he looks to assess his options ahead of the trip to Turkey for games with the host nation, Moldova and Iceland next month.
The group enjoyed their two games in September, with a 4-1 win over the Netherlands at St. George’s and a 3-1 victory against Belgium at their national centre in Tubize.
Many of the squad on duty for those games are involved again, but there is a first England call for West Ham United goalkeeper Joseph Anang and Manchester City’s Felix Nmecha is involved with the U19s for the first time having previously featured for the U16s and U18s.
