The Young Lions qualified for the Euros for a record seventh consecutive time with an unbeaten record.

Boothroyd said: “These matches are a crucial part of our preparation for the tournament.

“They’ll be difficult games against tough opposition and we’re looking forward to getting asked a few questions by these teams, and seeing if we can do the same.

“We’ve played Denmark before and know what challenges they can present, so it’s a good chance for us to learn a little more about ourselves against good opposition.”

England last faced Denmark in Randers in March 2017 when goals from Solly March and Cauley Woodrow and a brace from Ruben Loftus-Cheek secured a comprehensive 4-0 victory.

England will find out who they will face at the Euros when the draw takes place in Bologna on Friday 23 November.
