England enjoyed a double Dutch victory on Wednesday, with both the U19s and U18s picking up impressive wins against the Netherlands.
At St. George’s Park, Keith Downing’s U19s kick-started their new campaign with a 4-1 win against the Oranje.
A brace for Reading’s Danny Loader was added to by strikes from Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Manchester United’s Angel Gomez in that match.
The Dutch goal came from a first-half penalty from Zakaria Aboukhlal of PSV, but he also missed from the spot after the break as Curtis Anderson saved his effort.
They will now head to Tubize next, where they will face Belgium in their second game of this week.
Meanwhile, Neil Dewsnip’s U18s were in western France to play their first game at a four-nations tournament in Limoges.
And they clocked up a 3-0 victory, thanks to goals from Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, Chelsea’s Tino Anjorin and Nottingham Forest’s Arvin Appiah.
Next up for the U18s is a match with Russia on Friday afternoon.
