England Women’s U21s won their first game in La Manga on Friday, beating France by 2-1.
A first-half brace from Birmingham City’s Charlie Wellings put Mo Marley’s Lionesses in control, before France reduced the arrears just before the break.
But a tight second half saw England see the game out to secure an impressive win in the first game of this week’s U23 tournament which also features Norway and Sweden.
Marley’s side will be in action again on Sunday when they face Norway.
