England Women's matches to be broadcast on BBC in build-up to World Cup

England are preparing for their fourth consecutive appearance at the World Cup finals

Every England Women’s match in the build-up to the 2019 World Cup will be broadcast live across the BBC.

The Lionesses’ first match of the calendar year is against Brazil at the annual SheBelieves Cup on Wednesday 27 February (9pm GMT kick-off), a match you can watch live on BBC Four.

Next up is the World Cup holders, and SheBelieves Cup hosts, USA on Saturday 2 March (9.55pm GMT kick-off) and this match will be broadcast on BBC Two.

England’s final match of the round-robin tournament is against Japan on Tuesday 5 March (10pm GMT kick-off) and it will be live on BBC Four.

Back on home soil, Phil Neville’s squad will begin their ‘Road to France Series’ by hosting Canada at Manchester City’s Academy Stadium on Friday 5 April (7pm BST kick-off), another match which will be live on BBC Four.

England will then head to Swindon Town’s County Ground to entertain Spain on Tuesday 9 April (7pm BST kick-off).

Euro 2017 runners-up Denmark provide the opposition at Banks’s Stadium in Walsall on Saturday 25 May (3pm BST kick-off) before the World Cup send-off against New Zealand in Brighton on Saturday 1 June (1pm BST kick-off) and both of these matches will be showcased on BBC One.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup will also be live across the BBC.

England were drawn in Group D alongside neighbours Scotland, Argentina and Japan.
