England Women's U19s lose final match of the Algarve Tournament

England Women’s Under-19s were edged out by the Netherlands in their final match of the annual Algarve Tournament.

Kirsten van de Westeringh was on target for the Dutch in Vila Real De Santo Antonio.

This narrow defeat follows on from the 3-2 loss to Norway on Wednesday.

The Algarve Tournament was used as preparation for the UEFA Women’s U19 Championship elite qualifying round which will take place in England between 3-9 April.

Rehanne Skinner’s side have been drawn in Group 6 alongside Italy, Sweden, Turkey with the top-placed team in the round robin tournament qualifying for the Euro finals which will be staged in Scotland in July.
