Phil Foden and Ryan Sessegnon could be leading England U21s in their next Euro qualification campaign

England will play their first home 2021 UEFA European U21 Championship qualifier in Hull.

The Young Lions will take on Kosovo at the KCOM Stadium on Monday 9 September (7.45pm KO) in what will be the first meeting between the nations at any level, ironically 24 hours before the senior teams meet at Southampton in their own Euro Qualifier.

Aidy Boothroyd's squad were in action at the U21 EURO Finals for the previous campaign earlier this summer and from that group, a number of players are still young enough to feature again in 2021 such as Phil Foden, Ryan Sessegnon, Reiss Nelson, Mason Mount, Lloyd Kelly and Morgan Gibbs-White.

Tickets will go on sale for the game at 11am on Monday 22 July with U16 tickets priced at just £1.

This will be the fifth time that England U21s have played at the KCOM Stadium

A £10 early bird adult ticket is available until Monday 19 August (standard adult tickets £15) and concession, group booking and Charter Standard discounts also apply.

Hull City vice chairman Ehab Allam said: “We are thrilled to be hosting England U21s here at the KCOM Stadium this September, it's great to be able to showcase the next generation of senior international players in Hull and we look forward to welcoming the squad.”

England have been drawn in qualifying Group 3 and will also face Austria, Andorra, Albania and Turkey during the campaign. The 2021 finals will be jointly hosted by Hungary and Slovenia and will increase to a 16-team tournament, up from the previous 12-team format.

The Young Lions will open their campaign against Turkey at Sakarya Atatürk Stadium, Sakarya on Friday 6 September, three days before they land in Hull.

Tickets for England v Kosovo can be purchased online or by calling 01482 505 600. Tickets will also be available in person at the KCOM Stadium Ticket Zone from Thursday 1 August.
