Young Lionesses secure place in Euro Finals after winning three in three in Bulgaria

Ruby Grant scored England's opening goal in the win over Greece

England Women’s U17s made it three wins from three in their elite qualifying round on Wednesday, with a 2-0 victory over Greece.

A first-half goal from Ruby Grant got the Young Lionesses up and running, after a corner from Lucy Johnson.

And then a penalty from Melisa Filis just after half time doubled the advantage, following a foul on Francesca Stables.

Gemma Grainger’s team had come into the final match of the group on the back of impressive wins over Hungary and Georgia.

And they will now progress into the U17 EURO Finals in Bulgaria between 5-17 May. The draw for the Finals will be made in Albena on 5 April.
