England MU19s kicked-off their U19 EURO qualifying campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 win against Luxembourg on Wednesday afternoon.
Paul Simpson’s side are in North Macedonia for the first round stage of this season’s Championship, which concludes with the Finals in Northern Ireland next summer.
And an early goal from Taylor Harwood-Bellis set them on their way after a set-piece from his Manchester City team-mate and captain Tommy Doyle.
A quickfire double from Fiorentina's Bobby Duncan around the half-hour mark ensured a comfortable lead at half time, thanks to assists from Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Hamburg’s Xavier Ameachi respectively.
The flow of goals was steadied after the break, with Amaechi’s 75th minute strike to make it 4-0 proving to be the last of the goals.
The Young Lions will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, when they face the hosts North Macedonia at their national football centre in Skopje.
