England MU20s are gearing up for two games in October with a trip to Italy followed by a match against Czech Republic in Peterborough.
Head coach Keith Downing has named a 20-man squad for the double-header, which kicks-off on Thursday 10 October in Parma with a clash against the Azzurrini.
And the group will then head back to home shores for the game against the Czechs at the Weston Homes Stadium on Monday 14 October.
The Young Lions kicked-off the new season last month with a draw against the Netherlands in Shrewsbury, before picking up a 1-0 victory over Switzerland thanks to a late winner from Jack Clarke.
Downing has added a few new names to his roster for October’s games, with Derby’s Jayden Bogle and Manchester City forward Ian Poveda-Ocampo back from injury, and Ipswich Town midfielder Flynn Downes back in the group.
“Last month saw a lot of the players come together for the first time so we thought it was a very positive camp and we were very pleased with the players’ attitudes and work ethic,” said Downing.
“It was great for them all to come together and get used to the way of life on the road with an England team and it’s all good experience.
“The beauty of it is that this season we’re taking the games out to more clubs and that gives them a real experience on the road.
“We’re playing at Parma’s main stadium first and that will be a great test against Italy, and then we come to Peterborough and play the Czechs, who we always have tight games against well-drilled and physical teams that they produce.”
Tickets for the game in Peterborough are on sale now, priced £5 for adults and £1 for children and over 65s. Charter Standard and group booking discounts apply. Call 0844 947 1934 or at the club ticket office.
