England MU17s salvaged a 3-3 draw against Germany in the first of their games at the Pinatar Arena in Spain on Thursday.
A last-minute strike from substitute Nathan Young-Coombes ensured the game ended all square, after Germany had led 3-2 going into the later stages.
The action started early in the game with Tobi Oluwayemi saving an early penalty, only for Kesik to put Germany ahead moments later with a curling shot from the edge of the area after just six minutes.
Netz then had better luck with a second penalty to double their advantage six minutes later.
Kevin Betsy's side got themselves back in the game midway through the first half when Amadou Diallo headed home after a long passing move which was started at the back until the West Ham striker nodded home Karamoke Dembele's cross.
But the game swung back in Germany's favour two minutes before the break when Netz scored on the counter attack to give them a 3-1 lead at the break.
The Young Lions had a chance to reduce the arrears soon into the second half, only for Jamal Musiala to place a penalty wide of the post, but Lewis Dobbin made no mistake in the 55th minute with a low finish in the box to make it 3-2.
And just as it looked Germany had hung on for victory, Rangers' forward Young-Coombes struck home from close range after another good move from England to make it 3-3.
The Young Lions will play Germany again on Saturday, before facing Spain in their final match of the trip on Monday.
