England MU17s were denied a victory over Spain after a stoppage time equaliser secured a 1-1 draw in Pinatar on Monday afternoon.

The Young Lions had taken a first-half lead through Karamoko Dembele in what was the third and final match of England’s trip to the Costa Blanca.

And it looked as though they had done enough to end with the week with a win until the hosts found a 92nd minute equaliser from substitute Miguel Rodriguez.

Kevin Betsy’s squad had previously played two games against Germany at the same venue, drawing 3-3 via their own late equaliser last week and then losing 2-1 on Saturday.
