England began their UEFA Women’s U17 Championship qualifying campaign with a 2-0 win over Croatia.
Lydia Bedford’s side took the lead through an own goal by Croatia captain Tara Verbanac just before half time.
And after dominating throughout, the Young Lionesses sealed the win courtesy of Lucy O’Brien’s strike on 87 minutes.
England’s next qualifier is against Bosnia on Thursday 24 October and they finish up against Belgium on Sunday 27 October.
The top two nations in the round-robin group will progress to the elite qualifying round next spring.
The elite round draw will take place on 21 November.
Sweden will host the eight-team finals next May which will act as Europe's qualifier for the 2020 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup in India.
