Gabby George was sent off early in the second half as England lost their tournament opener at Loughborough University.
The Young Lionesses started brightly, with Niamh Charles seeing a goal chalked off for offside. Connie Scofield then headed over before Lauren Hemp and Hannah Cain both had shots saved by the keeper.
