England U21s welcome two new faces to the squad as pair withdraw through injury

Grady Diangana and Eberechi Eze have been called up to join the England U21s squad for this month’s games with Turkey and Kosovo.

Both Dwight McNeil and Joe Willock have withdrawn from Aidy Boothroyd’s squad with injury and returned to Burnley and Arsenal respectively.

And Boothroyd has added QPR’s Eze and West Bromwich Albion loanee Grady Diangana to his group for their opening 2021 UEFA European U21 Championship qualifiers.

Grady Diangana made his first England appearance for the U20s last season after breaking through with West Ham United

Both players featured for England U20s last season, so will be hoping to impress in what will be their first experience with the U21s.

The Young Lions will first travel to Izmit where they face Turkey in their opening game of this campaign at the Kocaeli Stadium on Friday 6 September (6.45pm BST).

They will then take on Kosovo at the KCOM Stadium in Hull on Monday 9 September (7.45pm KO).
