Sutton Coldfield Town pulled off an Emirates FA Cup first round qualifying replay shock as they claimed a 3-1 win at Redditch United.
Northern Premier League Division One South East side Sutton Coldfield fell behind early on but a superb comeback turned the tables and set up a second round qualifying trip to National League North Kettering Town.
Michael Nelson tapped home the rebound after Sutton goalkeeper Lewis Gwilliams had kept out an initial shot on 24 minutes to give Redditch the lead but Reece Leek equalised from the penalty spot shortly after.
With 12 minutes remaining Joel Powney curled in a sumptuous free kick for the Royals and Louis Monghan then produced a glorious through ball which Isa Marselia expertly finished to complete the 3-1 triumph.
United Counties Premier Division side Deeping Rangers also knocked out a team from the tier above as they won 3-2 away at AFC Sudbury.
The initial tie had ended 2-2 and it was goals galore once again at King’s Marsh as Sean Marks slid home from close range for Sudbury just a minute in before Sam Murphy nodded the equaliser almost immediately.
Jordan MacLeod showed his pace midway through the first half to streak clear and put Rangers in front but Marks beat the offside trap to level proceedings at 2-2 after the break.
However, Deeping weren’t to be denied as another quick break enabled MacLeod to slot home the winner and send the underdogs marching on.
There will be no tenth-tier representation in the next round however as the final two teams remaining, Sutton Athletic and Arundel, both suffered defeat.
A Stephen Smith hat-trick helped Ramsgate ease past Arundel 4-0, while Ashley Howell notched a double for Flackwell Heath to end Sutton’s Cup run by a 3-1 scoreline.
The biggest winners were Ossett United, as they beat Thornaby 6-0 – with Tom Greaves grabbing four of those – while Warrington Town also cruised to a 4-0 victory away at City of Liverpool.
Waqas Azam scored the only goal of the game and Hakan Burton saved a penalty as eighth-tier Colne caused an upset by edging past seventh-tier South Shields 1-0.
Meanwhile, Peterborough Sports and Horsham were both 3-2 winners, over East Thurrock United and Metropolitan Police respectively, as FC United of Manchester downed Atherton Collieries 1-0.
There were also replay victories for Scarborough Athletic, Ashton United, Gainsborough Trinity, Canvey Island, Needham Market, Tavistock and Worthing.
Dunston United secured their safe passage into the next round with a comfortable 5-0 triumph at Sunderland RCA, with Cedwyn Scott scoring four goals after Dan Wright opened the scoring.
Lancaster City were also victorious in their Wednesday night replay after a brace from David Norris sealed a 2-1 win at Northwich Victoria, while Biggleswade Town beat St Neots Town 2-0.
Elsewhere, Lewes held their nerve to win a penalty shootout 3-1 against Leatherhead after their game finished 2-2 thanks to a dramatic late equaliser from Jordy Mongoy in the 90th minute.
