A compelling weekend of Emirates FA Cup action may well be over but there are still scores that need settling in the form of replays before we can call the third round 'complete'.
Of the 32 third round matches, eight will need to be replayed in games scheduled to take place in the week commencing 13 January, in order to decide who progresses.
And with the draw for the fourth round already made, teams will be even more keen to learn their fate.
Perhaps the most eye-catching on the roster is Wolverhampton Wanderers' trip to Manchester United following their stalemate at Molineux - the only 0-0 draw of the entire round.
Interest in this tie could be doubled by the fact that the winners have been drawn a trip to either Watford or Tranmere Rovers, the latter of which managed an incredible three-goal comeback to survive the round by the skin of their teeth.
Jonathan Woodgate came back to haunt former club Tottenham Hotspur as his Middlesbrough side held them to a 1-1 draw at Riverside with the prize of a fourth round match with Southampton up for grabs in the replay.
League One side Rochdale earned a fairy tale trip to St James' Park when 40-year-old Aaron Wilbraham scored the equaliser against Newcastle United at Spotland while Bristol City and Shrewsbury will do battle again for the chance to pit their wits against high-flying Liverpool.
Tony Craig scored at both ends for Bristol Rovers in their 2-2 with Coventry City, while Cardiff City and Carlisle United will also need to meet again after finishing with the same scorelines.
And the winners of that tie will face either Reading or Blackpool who, as is the current fashion, also drew 2-2.
