Teams taking part in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals will hold a minute's applause in recognition of the work done by the National Health Service since the outbreak of COVID-19.
The Cup resumes this weekend, having been on hold since the pandemic began in mid-March and forced the suspension of all football activity.
Premier League teams returned to action on Wednesday 17 June and have paid tribute to the NHS at every match since, as well as remembering those affected by the virus.
We have also invited quarter-finalists to include an NHS logo and Black Lives Matter badge on their matchday shirts, as they have since the league season resumed.
In line with the temporary law amendment made by the International Football Association Board, teams taking part in the quarter-finals will be able to make five substitutions from the nine players nominated, with three opportunities to make these substitutions during the match excluding half-time.
If a quarter-final is drawn after 90 minutes then 30 minutes of extra-time will be played, followed by penalties if necessary. Clubs will be permitted an additional substitute in extra-time – a sixth in total.
