If you apply for England matches through both FIFA's general sale and the official ESTC allocation, which opens on Monday 11 April, then you risk both applications being cancelled.

Tickets through the official allocation will only be offered to Travel Club members and will be balloted should a match be oversubscribed.  This means you stand a far better chance of securing tickets by applying via the official ESTC allocation.

If, for example, you have already been allocated a ticket for a game in which England are playing, you will NOT be able to apply for another ticket to that specific game.  Doing so may result in both applications being canceled.

For England matches, members will only be allowed to hold 1 ticket per match.

You can, however, apply for more tickets to non-England matches.  The maximum number of tickets that you can hold matches for across this tournament is 60.

This means that, should you be successful for all of England's matches, you will be eligible to purchase up to another 53 tickets to other, non-England games, assuming there is no diary clash.

For England matches, members will only be allowed to hold 1 ticket per match.

All England knockout match tickets sold to Travel Club members are 'conditional' on England reaching that particular stage of the tournament. As soon as England qualifies for the next round of the tournament, your conditional ticket will become valid. 

If England is eliminated from the tournament, the remaining conditional tickets in your order become invalid and the lead applicant will receive a refund for the cost of the remaining tickets, from FIFA, within 30 days of the tournament ending.

Please be aware that it is not possible to apply for unconditional knockout match tickets through The FA's allocation.

Yes, entry to the stadium for all matches at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 require a valid match ticket - this includes children and babies. Please note that there are no concession prices on FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tickets.

You will be able to amend or even cancel your application up until the application window closes by logging into the FIFA ticketing portal using your email address or password.

Once the application process has closed it is not possible to change or cancel any part of your application. The England Supporters Club cannot make any amends to applications on behalf of members.

No. Tickets purchased via the England Supporters Travel Club cannot be resold, even on FIFA's official resale platforms.

Travel Club members are reminded that it is against membership rules to sell or advertise to sell match tickets or to pass them onto friends or family - this includes any tickets allocated to them for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Any members identified as doing so, will be reported to FA security and may have their entire application cancelled.

Recently the England Supporters Travel Club hosted a Fan Forum at Wembley Stadium with members of the Qatar Supreme Committee of Delivery and Legacy. The purpose of this forum was to provide Travel Club members with the opportunity to raise and discuss topics or concerns relating to the upcoming tournament.

The event was hosted by presenter Nicole Holliday in the Wembley Suite and a total of 147 members were in attendance.

You cannot apply for tickets using your personal details with the intention of giving them to someone else as a present. Tickets are non-transferable and for the sole use of the individual(s) named on the application.

All tickets issued via the England Supporters Travel Club are for personal use only. Any members caught transferring, selling or advertising to sell their tickets will be reported to FA Security and will have all tickets in their order cancelled. 

If you have any issues or questions relating to your application please email us directly at englandsupportersclub@thefa.com.  During the application period we will prioritise any World Cup queries to ensure you can submit a complete application in time.

It is not yet known if FIFA will sell souvenir tickets.  As soon as we have any further information on this we will update members accordingly.

No. Once you have been allocated tickets it is not possible to change your application. We will advise that members should only apply for matches they actually plan on attending and for categories that they can afford to pay for. 

No, FIFA will not confirm your specific seats until closer to the tournament and you've been instructed to access them on the FIFA mobile ticketing app. 

Please be aware that The FA will not be able to facilitate manual seating requests or ask FIFA to change your seat if you're unhappy with the location within the stadium.

If you're allocated tickets for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022and no longer wish to attend any of the matches you were allocated, you simply need to ensure that you do not pay for the tickets once the payment portal opens.

Please be aware that you cannot pick and choose which matches you wish to attend once you're allocated them - you must either pay for all or none of the tickets you're allocated.

The ticketing app will available through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store only. Further details will be provided nearer to the tournament. 

All tickets to FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be distributed via their mobile app. For Travel Club members who attended the UEFA Nations League in June 2019 or any match at UEFA Euro 2020, the process will be similar again. Your mobile tickets will be delivered directly to your mobile phone no later than seven days before a match. Full instructions will be emailed to ticket holders closer to the tournament. 

It will not be possible to change the delivery method of your tickets. If you do not have a compatible smartphone, the only way to receive your tickets is to go to the appropriate ticket office at the host stadium to receive a printed copy. 

In accordance with security procedures, a small number of members will be selected by The FA to collect their tickets in person in the host city. These fans will be notified in advance and will be provided with the collection details nearer the tournament.

All other tickets will be distributed via the FIFA mobile ticketing app. 

No. The purpose of the Travel Club membership is to allow members to access away match friendlies and qualifiers - not just to access tournaments. In addition to access to away match tickets, 2020-2022 Travel Club members receive exclusive access to £20 Home End Tickets, a minimum of £5 off their home match tickets (£2.50 juniors) elsewhere in the ground and many more benefits.

There may be further opportunities to apply for tickets closer to the tournament but this is dependent on The FA being able to secure an additional allocation. 

It's mandatory for every fan who attends a match to have a 'Heyya card'. The Heyya Card is an identification document which allows you to enter Qatar without a visa and permits multiple entries between. These are similar to FAN IDs which were used for the 2018 World Cup in Russia and will be required again for anyone who has a match ticket for a game at this tournament.

Neither FIFA nor The FA are responsible for FAN ID applications. You will not receive a refund on your match ticket in the event your FAN ID application is rejected by the authorities.

If you plan to stay in Qatar for more than 24 hours, accommodation validation will be required to complete the Hayya Card application process. You will need an approved Hayya Card to enter the country.

If you plan to stay with friends or family during the tournament, the host will need to register the accommodation on the Hayya portal website. This is not yet possible, so it’s advised to continue to monitor the website for the latest information.

Information on day trip requirements has not yet been released, and the GOV.UK website advises fans to continue to monitor the website for the latest information.

We’ve been reassured that FIFA and Qatar are doing everything they can to find solutions for all supporters who wish to base themselves there during the tournament

You will only be able to book accommodation once you have purchased your ticket when you will be given a code.  At present we expect the payment of tickets to be concluded no later than Tuesday 31 May 2022.

If you are planning to or from travel elsewhere in the region during the tournament, we strongly suggest that you check the Travel Advice page published via the FCO for every country you plan to visit or transit through. Entry requirements, and local laws and customs, will likely be different to Qatar.

Details on the land border, and any tournament-specific restrictions, are yet to be announced.

Visitors can use their mobile phones as normal in Qatar, aside from video calls. WhatsApp video calls, Skype and FaceTime are banned from use

Yes, but the GOV.UK website advises visitors to be aware of cultural sensitivities when filming or photographing people and religious, military or construction sites. Some visitors attempting to film or photograph in sensitive areas have been arrested previously. If in doubt, seek permission.

There are strict privacy laws in Qatar. Posting material, including videos and photographs, online that appear to insult, slander or are culturally insensitive, may be considered a crime.

Currently, masks must be worn in Qatar at all times, including when outdoors, unless sitting down to eat or drink.

Fans can expect minimal travel times between stadiums via the Doha Metro system, which provides direct access to five of the eight venues, while the remaining three will be serviced by shuttle buses from the nearest station.

All visitors will need to buy a travel card to use the Doha Metro, however metro and bus access will be free to ticket-holding supporters on matchdays during the tournament.

Buses, taxis and hire cars will also be available for fans to use.

The longest distance between stadiums is 46 miles [approx. travel time: one hour], while the shortest distance between stadiums is 3.1 miles [approx. travel time: five minutes]

We have recently had the following information provided to us on 'clothing and costumes'

- No restrictions on clothing for women and men beyond internationally accepted etiquette.

- Spectators taking clothes off to reveal intimate body parts may be asked to put the clothing back on.

- Visitors dressing in costumes imitating Qatari national clothing or wearing other costumes in public, Fan Fests and stadiums would not be approached, detained or prosecuted.

The GOV.UK website advises that swearing and making rude gestures are considered obscene acts and can be a criminal offence

Fans may be asked to stop singing chants which contain swear words

It’s advised to take particular care when dealing with the police and other officials

We believe that our game is to be enjoyed and participated in by all, and we will always use our influence as a National Association to challenge hateful conduct both on and off the pitch in a respectful manner.

With this in mind, we have sought assurances from the Local Organising Committee regarding LGBTQ+ fans being welcomed in Qatar to support their team during the tournament.

We received the unequivocal answer that all fans, including those from LGBTQ+ communities, will be welcome at Qatar 2022, and that the safety and security of every fan is Qatar’s top priority.

Update: 08/11/22

FIFA and the Supreme Committee have recently suggested the following regarding the LGBTQIA+ community in Qatar

- Persons displaying the rainbow or other sexual identity flags will neither be approached, detained nor prosecuted (It has not been made clear if this is inside or outside the stadium)

- People displaying signed of affection in the streets, Fan Fests or in the stadiums will neither be approached, detained nor prosecuted

- Discussing and promoting LGBTQIA+ rights in the Fan Fest/publicly including comments by the players is permitted.

All visitors will need to buy a travel card to use the Doha Metro, however a Hayya Card will give supporters free access to public transport on match days, including bus, metro and tram

Buses, taxis and hire cars will also be available for fans to use.

Whilst out in Qatar the GOV.UK website advises visitors to only use registered taxis and, if possible, to not enter a taxi late at night unaccompanied.

It has also been confirmed that Women will be able to receive medical care, including related to pregnancy or reproductive health, regardless of the circumstances and will not face any accusations.

The GOV.UK website advises that some prescribed and over the counter medicines may be controlled substances in Qatar.

If you need to bring in controlled/prescription medication into Qatar, it’s advised that you carry your official doctor’s prescription, hospital note or a letter from your GP, detailing the drug, the quantity prescribed and dosage – and that this note or letter should be signed by the doctor/consultant and stamped by the hospital or surgery.

The GOV.UK website advises that visitors can drive in Qatar with a valid UK driving licence for up to 12 months. If you intend to drive using your UK licence in Qatar, you should obtain an International Driving Permit [IDP] before travelling

If you’re planning to hire a car, check with your car hire company for information on their requirements before you travel

The GOV.UK website also advises that even minor expressions of ‘road rage’ like rude gestures can attract penalties, so please take care if driving in the country

STADIUM GUIDE

The GOV.UK website advises that Qatari authorities are still finalising the policies relating to the sale and consumption of alcohol during the World Cup. Its availability and associated laws will be different to previous tournaments

Alcohol is currently only available to visitors at licenced hotel restaurants and bars. The legal drinking age in Qatar is 21, and it is an offence to drink alcohol or be drunk in a public place

It is advised to not carry alcohol around with you

Fans will not be allowed to enter Qatar in possession of alcohol.

You can buy alcohol within Doha airport to take home when leaving the country, should you wish.

There will be a large official FIFA fan park in Qatar which will serve refreshments, including alcohol

Location details will be announced in due course

There is zero tolerance for drugs-related offences. It is a criminal offence and according to the GOV.UK website, the penalties for the use of, trafficking, smuggling and possession of drugs [even residual amounts] are severe.

The legal drinking age in Qatar is 21, and establishments serving alcohol will ask for original photo ID upon entry.

The GOV.UK website advises that local laws reflect the fact that Qatar is an Islamic country, and that all visitors should respect local traditions, customs, laws and religions at all time, and be aware of your actions to ensure that they do not offend.

This means there may be penalties for doing something that might not be illegal in the UK but is in Qatar.

Any intimacy in public between men and women [including between teenagers] - who are not married - can be deemed a criminal offence. However, recent updates from FIFA outline that the General Policing approach on this matter, for anyone displaying 'signs of affection' in the streets, the Fans Fests or inside the stadiums, will neither be approached, detained nor prosecuted.

England team members are free to discuss any issue at any time should they wish.

We recognise the impact they can have on society, and we encourage them to speak freely on any issues they wish. There has been evidence of that in recent years with many players using their platforms to campaign against discrimination.

We will continue to give our players the confidence to stand up for the things that matter to them as people, so they can keep being a force for good as we strive for a better society.

We are in dialogue with human rights organisations such as Amnesty International and also with FIFA, UEFA, other Member Associations and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, and we are working closely with all to ensure that we approach our participation in the upcoming FIFA World Cup in a socially responsible manner.

From those discussions to date, we believe that there is evidence of substantial progress being made by Qatar in relation to workers’ rights. However, we recognise there is still more to be done and that the positive steps made in legislation aren’t yet being implemented universally.

Our view remains that change is best achieved by working collaboratively with others so that we can continue to ask the right questions, while always being mindful that we also have our own human rights challenges in this country.

FA CEO Mark Bullingham is part of the UEFA Working Group, striving to better understand the current human rights landscape in Qatar. Being a member involves visiting the country and speaking to local authorities, migrant workers, charities and local organisations to understand their day-to-day experiences, including improvements, challenges and what more can be done to support and drive meaningful change. This working group has made a commitment to not only keep visiting Qatar before the FIFA World Cup, but to continue after that too

We are clear that the companies we partner with on the ground in Qatar,. both ahead of and during the tournament, must meet the required standards regarding workers’ rights and provide strong and rightful support to their employees.

Yes, the FSA will be running their standard Fans’ Embassy service in Qatar and will be present for the duration of England’s stay.

They will be operating a 24 hour help line during the tournament as well as producing a pre-tournament guide and an individual Free Lions for each game.
