The home of England’s teams has become home to three other nation’s youth sides, as St. George’s Park hosts training and six EURO U17 Elite Round fixtures for the Under-17 squads of England, Northern Ireland, France and Hungary.

During their time in Staffordshire, players and coaches with all nations have benefitted from St. George’s Park’s state-of-the-art training and recovery facilities, as their respective teams play three games-a-piece in the EURO U17 Elite Round qualifying stage, ahead of the UEFA EURO U17 Championships which are to be hosted in Cyprus in May. A top-two finish for England will secure the Young Lions’ place in the finals.

The Elite Round forms the second stage of qualifying for the summer’s championship finals. Top seed England finished first in their qualifying round group, as did second seed France, while Northern Ireland, the Elite Round group’s fourth seeded side, qualified as one of the five best third-placed teams. Third seed Hungary finished as one of the qualifying round’s best runners-up.
